Kempton: Just That Lord
Regular winner at this distance and in this grade. Was running perfectly well before the break and Luke Morris gets on well with him. The pair have a strike rate of 5/17.
Just That Lord returns to racing have had wind surgery and he doesn’t have to find much improvement to win in this grade. Before the hiatus he’d run well at Lingfield, including when a close third in a class 4 handicap.
Interestingly he wasn’t ridden on the speed that day; which shows him to be a little more versatile than once thought. Drawn in stall 2 he might have the opportunity to lead but at least Luke Morris has options in case Grandfather Tom wants to go on.
Horse and jockey are 5/17 and 3/6 in class 4 handicaps. The pair present a solid option and just edge out the well handicapped Charming Kid, who has much the worse of the draw.
