Kempton: Equitation
Capable of some big speed figures on his day but struggles to get his head in front. Still retains ability but needs this drop into claiming company to make life easier.
Equitation is yet to win on the all-weather in 9 starts but he’s run plenty of good races over 6f at Kempton and that makes him of interest dropped into claiming company. Consistency has never been Equitation’s strong suit but on his day he is a useful sprinter.
Go back to the start of the turf season and he finished two lengths behind Arecibo, much the best form on offer. Approaching 8 years of age, the risk of losing him is perhaps worth the reward of winning a race, something he’s not done for a while.
