Haydock: He's A Gentleman

He’s A Gentleman is an interesting runner in the 1.15 Haydock; he ran poorly at the track last time (trainer could offer no reason at the time) and is now returning off a 106-day absence. That suggest something must have been amiss and perhaps it’s best we scratch that performance.

Previously he had run well at Ripon earning an adjusted sectional rating of 77, thanks to a fast closing split. He starts his handicap career off a mark of 76 which looks generous on that Ripon run. He also drops back to 5f.

If Haydock was an aberration (and not track related) he could be well-in on ratings.
