Previous course and distance winner, who finished third in this race last year. Gelded during the summer but back in form judged on his York third.
Four year olds have won the last four renewals of this race and Atalis Bay can continue the streak. Twelve months ago he finished a close third in this race and although he faces many of the same rivals, he is a year stronger and his handicap mark has dropped 3lbs.
A previous course and distance winner, Atalis Bay’s top-two speed figures have come at the track and he highlighted his well being when third at York 17 days ago. Gelded during the summer, it seems Atalis Bay is over his operation and ready for a strong autumn campaign.
