Greenham Tip: Mohaather
Two visits to Newbury have yielded two wins and impressive winner of Horris Hill. Quickened up well to clock fastest closing sectional by 1.09s and further he went the better he looked.
The 2000 Guineas antepost market is dominated by Too Darn Hot but there were other notable juvenile performances last season that deserve another look. Mohaather was the rank outsider when taking the Horris Hill but it was no fluke. Azano set an even gallop and Marcus Tregoning’s colt was the only horse to come and overtake him.
His closing sectional was the quickest by 1.09s and the further he went the better he looked, which bodes well for the step up to a mile. Adjusting for pace he earned a respectable speed rating of 95, which is a good base to improve upon. His record at Newbury is 11 and he must be worth an investment.
