Goodwood Tips: York Glory

The Stewards’ Cup (3.50 Goodwood) is a cracking race but I’ve managed to narrow it down to two.

Both Tropics and York Glory are Group horses in the making and it is difficult to split the pair.

Tropics is more lightly raced and therefore we might not have seen the best of him yet but I’m put off by the fact he returns just seven days after a hard race at York.

It is harsh to crab his form given he can only beat what is put in front of him, but he’s won softer races than York Glory.

Tropics only beat two horses rated in the 100s in the Skybet Dash last week whereas York Glory beat 13 horses rated 100+ in the Wokingham.

I have given then both Group 2 class speed ratings but overall York Glory’s form is stronger and therefore at 11/1 (Bet365) he is the bet.
