Goodwood Tips: Yeeoow

Looked a smart sprinter in the making and capable of returning to that form; had excuses on his last three runs.

It goes without saying, the 2.05 Goodwood is an extremely competitive sprint handicap but at his best Yeeoow is a cut above this level.

After his win at Ascot in May, connections thought he was a Wokingham horse in the making. Things haven’t turned out that way and he arrives at Goodwood after three disappointing results but he’s had excuses.

At Ripon, he was badly hampered and then at the Curragh he was drawn away from the action.

Most recently at Hamilton, he travelled like a good horse but the field didn’t come back to him at the finish, nevertheless he was only beaten 3.75 lengths.

I think the key to this horse is a strong pace and he will get that in a big field. It’s difficult to say if stall 1 is a good or a bad draw but there is plenty of pace around him.

At 33/1 (BetVictor) he is overpriced if returning to his best.
