Goodwood Tips: R Woody
Won this race in 2010 and looks better racing over 6f.
Prodigality looks ahead of the handicapper in the 3.45 Goodwood but he put in a laboured performance last time he raced on soft ground. The conditions may blunt his turn off foot and is reluctantly passed over on this occasion.
The soft ground and a return to his optimum trip make R Woody the value in the race. He caught the eye two starts ago when rallying late to take second place at Leicester. A clear run and he may have won that race. A return to 6f looks ideal as his last three wins have been at the distance.
In 2010 he won this race off a 5lbs higher mark and back in the same type of form he should go well at 8/1 (Ladbrokes).
