Goodwood Tip: Strong Suit

It is a good quality renewal of the Lennox Stakes at 3.10, with a number of horses holding chances.  Delegator is short enough in the betting and a horse I want to oppose. He won a muddling Duke Of York Stakes where he seemed to have the best of the draw and the run of the race. He was better in the July Cup but for a horse who has suffered with so many niggles he may be best backed when fresh.

Strong Suit also had his share of problems but finally seems over them; a wind operation after the Greenham revitalised his performances. An excellent win in the Jersey Stakes was followed by a close third in the Prix Jean Prat. The front three pulled nicely clear of the rest and all look smart prospects.

Richard Hannon reported that Strong Suit had been working upsides Canford Cliffs prior to Royal Ascot. If he has that ability on the gallops there is an excellent chance he can win the Lennox Stakes.
