Goodwood Tip: Night Trade

With plenty of rain around it is no surprise that the going for the 3.10 at Goodwood is soft. Ten days ago, Night Trade finished second over course and distance under identical conditions; she can go one better today. Having only her third start for Ron Harris, she has placed on her last two visits to the Sussex Downs.

The problem with Night Trade is that she is an extremely keen sort. If she doesn’t get a decent gallop she is inclined to pull too hard and ruin her chances. With plenty of early pace in the field that should not be an issue today.

A consistent filly, Night Trade has finished: 030032001132 this year. The last two duck eggs can be ignored as she was fitted with a visor, which she hated. If we look at her form over six furlongs with the visor left off her record is: 2132, a very consistent set of results. With conditions to suit, this tough filly is well worth backing at 7/1 with Ladbrokes.
