Goodwood Races Tip: Take Ten
Winner of his last two starts and the stable have enjoyed a great start to the season.
There are several progressive four year olds in the field and they look the most likely winners of the 2.15 at Goodwood. Take Ten finished the year in style with two wins on the Polytrack. He blitzed a good field in Dundalk by three lengths and followed it up by a half length victory over Edinburgh Knight.
A prominent runner, he doesn’t have to lead, but in a race short of pace Frankie Dettori may opt to make the running. Still progressive, he has achieved better form than the other four year olds in the field. He has two class 2 wins under his belt where as his rivals in his age group can only muster one class 3 win between five of them.
In the winter Take Ten moved to Mahmood Al Zarooni and on currently form he couldn’t have gone to a better yard. The Godolphin trainer has saddled 12 wins from 45 riders giving him a 27% strike rate.
