Put in a career best performance last time despite the pace being moderate at best.
The Tapeta surface has been widely praised since it was installed at Wolverhampton but there are no bigger fans than Rich Again.
His record on the surface is 13111 and I don’t think his winning run is over quite yet.
Last time out he put in a career best performance according to Racing Post Ratings and achieved his highest speed rating to boot.
On that performance alone he has to be a strong favourite but I think his victory deserves an upgrade.
Rich Again was held-up behind a steady pace (105.3% finishing speed), which probably didn’t suit him. Nevertheless, he flew past his rivals, running the final 2f in a rapid 22.4s.
Racing in the same grade against the same opposition, he’s shown he can win under a variety of pace scenarios and that makes him a solid bet at 9/4 (Paddy Power).
