Chester Tips: Duchess Dora

The 4.15 Chester is a new addition to the May Festival but this conditions event has attracted some dead wood unfortunately. Looking at the main protagonists, Addictive Dream would have an excellent chance if replicating his best Dubai form but the stable’s runners haven’t been firing of late. 

Noble Storm would also have a good chance at his best, but I expected a bit more from him on his reappearance at Lingfield. He is best watched for now.

With more questions than answers in the race, the only horse to back with any confidence is Duchess Dora at 11/4 with BetVictor. She has winning form over course and distance, with the bonus of it coming on soft ground.

She was extremely progressive last season, finishing a good second behind Group 1 winner, Tangerine Trees at Beverley. Without a penalty here, combined with the fillies allowance, she races off a generous 8-13, receiving weight from all her main rivals.
