Aiden O’Brien has won the Chester Vase (2.45) three times in the last six years and it is a fair bet he does so again with Ruler Of The World.
A small field lines up for the Group 3 contest and on paper it doesn’t look like a strong renewal; none of the five runners are yet to break the 100 mark according to the Racing Post’s ratings.
Ruler Of The World is one of the least exposed runners and should improve considerably on his last performance. His half-brother Duke Of Marmalade got better with racing, turning into a fine thoroughbred winning five Group 1s.
Although we are betting on potential rather than form, Ruler Of The World could be in a different league to his rivals and win with ease.
