Chepstow Tip: Union Rose

Finished down the field in an above average race for the grade at Bath but tracked strong pace and suffered wide trip. Drops down in grade, to a level where he's enjoyed success.

Union Rose found himself in an above average class 4 handicap last time and trying to track a strong pace from a wide (also raced wide) was a thankless task. It is to his credit he hung in there for as long as he did eventually finishing seventh beaten 6.25 lengths and looking very tired.

A winner as recently as January he shouldn’t be written off, especially dropping into a grade where he is 2/9. When racing in class 5 contests at 5f his record is 831413 and you can throw out that 8th place finish as it was his racecourse debut. At a fair price he should run his race.
