Cheltenham Horse Racing Tips: Nomecheki
Ran a fine race on his seasonal debut. Still lightly raced for a horse of his age.
On the face of it Nomecheki looks a rather inconsistent sort but by the end of the year an eight length defeat to Tataniano could be rather good. Tataniano is 16/1 and fifth favourite for the Champion Chase.
Nomecheki isn’t up to that level but having only his 14th start he can still progress. Last season turned into a non-event, injury limiting him to three starts and only once did he perform anywhere near his best. He finished second in a Sandown handicap but recorded a Topspeed rating in excess of his handicap mark.
The 16/1 with Paddy Power looks big if he can build on his seasonal debut. and he should go close in the 1.45 at Cheltenham on Friday.
