Cheltenham Tips: Easter Meteor
Has run well in two valuable handicaps this season and likely to be on the premises again.
The Paddy Power Gold Cup and Bet365 Open Chase are the key races to focus on because almost every runner in the field has run in one or the other.
Easter Meteor has run well in both and therefore I’m surprised he is 16/1 (Bet365) to win the 2.25 Cheltenham.
Emma Lavelle’s chaser was going well in the Paddy Power until falling two out but bounced back at Newbury when second behind Cantlow in a close finish.
His front-running style can leave him vulnerable to a strong finisher but the ground at Cheltenham is described as ‘good’ and he might just last up the hill.
