Cheltenham Tip: Traffic Article
Almost certainly haven’t seen the best of him yet and trainer won this race last year on the way to festival glory.
It might be the first Cheltenham meeting of the season but trainers are already planning for the Festival. One such man is Gordon Elliott. He took this race with Chicago Grey who went on to win the four mile novices’ chase in March. He is attempting the same trick with Traffic Article.
The better ground, currently good to firm, should suit him having won on it at Tramore. He finished ahead of subsequent winner Granaruid, giving the form a solid look.
He does not do much when he hits the front, but that is not a problem from a betting perspective. It probably suggests we haven’t seen the best of him yet. A step up in trip also looks ideal as all he does is stay. At 9/2 (Betfred) I’m happy to side with this shrewd yard.
