With so many improving types it is a tricky race to judge. Our selection Spirit Son is one who should have plenty in him. Having only run three times, he has improved each run to remain unbeaten.
His last victory in heavy conditions at Exeter didn’t suit him, yet on Racing Post Ratings he still ran to within 1lbs of Cue Card’s win at Cheltenham. Spirit Son was barely extended at Exeter that day and coasted home by 21 lengths. On ratings alone he must have the beating of Cue Card.
This French import looks full of speed and ready made for this race. With so many Henderson hurdlers to pick from it will be a good sign to see Barry Geraghty on board.
