Arkle Challenge Trophy Tip: Finian's Rainbow
2.05 Tue: Still unbeaten, the form knockers are pushing his price to a very acceptable level.
The 2.05 at Cheltenham is not being talked up as a vintage Arkle but that might change after the race.
Finian’s Rainbow arrives at the Festival unbeaten but with plenty of knockers. Critics will point to the fact he has beaten a sum total of seven horses in his chasing career. What they forget is that he routed Hell’s Bay on his debut by 12 lengths. That horse then went on to beat Arkle favourite Medermit at Cheltenham. The form looks pretty rock solid to me.
A comfortable winner in all three novice chases, Finian’s Rainbow won them in good times and without being extended. It’s getting to the stage where his form is being vastly underrated and at 4/1 he can finally prove his class in the Arkle.
