Chelmsford Tips: Mustarrid
Earned an adjusted sectional speed rating of 100 on his second start and potentially smart.
The 6.45 Chelmsford is a hot race with six last time out winners but the handicapper has taken a massive chance by giving Mustarrid an opening mark of 82.
He impressed on debut when finishing third behind Qatar Man (rated 106), running the fastest closing sectional of the race. Last time out he won a fair Wolverhampton maiden by 5 lengths but put up and fantastic performance on the clock.
The pace was on the steady side but Mustarrid clocked a good overall time with a blistering closing sectional. He covered the final 2f in 22.7s, almost half a second quicker than anything else in the field and that was without being hard ridden.
When adjusting for pace I gave him a rating of 100 and given he’s only had two starts, he could be a serious horse.
