Catterick Tips: Waseem Faris

An unlucky loser last time out and could benefit from a potential pace collapse.

Catterick is usually a speed-favouring track but with five front-runners in the field and soft underfoot conditions, the leaders might tire and set up the race for a hold up horse.

Waseem Faris was an eye-catcher at Thirsk last week, after a dreadful start his jockey had to sit and suffer behind a wall of horses when travelling notably better than all his rivals. The way he finished, barley off the bridle, suggested he could have won with a clear passage.

He will need to get a better start this evening, but if he breaks on terms he should go close.
