Catterick Tip: Cameo Star

Slightly disappointing at Carlisle last time but had excuses. Slowly into stride, wide trip and hampered. Stall 1 could be advantageous and impressive closing effort at Beverley two starts back.

Cameo Star was slightly disappointing when sixth at Carlisle last time but he was untidy out of the gates, suffered a wide trip and then got involved in some jostling when trying to get a run. There is no way he would have won but he might have improved on his final positioning.

The 4-year-old is worth giving another chance too, especially with his recent second at Beverley still fresh in the mind. He was the fastest closer by 0.51s that day and earned a sectional adjusted speed rating of 66.

The step up in class works against him at Catterick but he has potentially a good draw and has run well on soft before.
