Carlisle Tips: Another Wise Kid
Not beaten far on his last two 5f starts, despite finding plenty of trouble. A clear run more likely in this small field.
With front-runners Six Wives and Just Like Heaven drawn on the inside there should be plenty of pace in the 3.00 Carlisle.
This should suit the hold up tactics of Another Wise Kid, who has been a bit unlucky in recent starts. At York, he was only beaten 2.5 lengths despite never getting a run and it was a similar story when he was beaten at Doncaster earlier in the season.
I don’t think Another Wise Kid is a horse who goes looking for trouble, it is just an occupational hazard in big field sprints. He has won five of his 26 career starts, which is a good strike rate for a sprint handicapper.
With only 11 runners lining up the gaps should be easier to find and a change in fortune can see Another Wise Kid win at 7/1 (William Hill).
