Carlisle Tip: Global Gift
From a wide draw he was poorly positioned in a steadily run race. Worked his way through the field impressively but couldn't reel in the better placed winner. Fastest closer by 0.38s.
Global Gift did not have conditions to suit last time out at Wetherby but still ran a fine race. Held-up from a wide draw, he was poorly positioned in a steadily run race. The eventual winner made the most of his forward placing but Global Gift was the moral winner, his closing sectional was 0.38s faster than anything else in the race.
The step-up in trip could make the difference but a more even paced race should also see Global Gift to better effect. A handicap mark of 75 isn’t insurmountable and it was good to see Ed Dunlop break a losing sequence with a winner at Ayr on Tuesday.
