Brighton Tips: Welsh Inlet

Previous course and distance winner on soft ground and Sean Levey’s only ride at the meeting.

There isn’t a huge amount to get excited about today but Welsh Inlet looks slightly overpriced in the 5.45 Brighton.

She doesn’t have the best of strike rates but she was a course and distance winner back in May. Crucially that was on soft ground, conditions we are likely to get again today.

Jockey Sean Levey enjoys a 14% strike rate for John Bridger and he travels to Brighton just for this one ride. He probably wouldn’t be making the trip unless he thought he had a reasonable chance of winning. Therefore, at 11/1 (Betfred) Welsh Inlet is worth a small interest.
