Brighton Tips: Excellent Aim

Ran a cracker when making his comeback from 150-day lay off and should improve for the run.

The 4.50 Brighton isn’t a particularly strong race and Excellent Aim has the potential to be better than his rivals.

The six-year-old has clearly had problems as this is only his 18 start but he’s also lightly raced enough to improve.

Last time out he ran a cracking race to finish second at Brighton after a 150-day lay off. Having chased an overly strong pace, he showed great tenacity to finish 0.75 lengths behind the winner.

This afternoon he drops down in trip but that could turn out to be an advantage because he has never finished outside the top-3 when racing over 5f.

Tom Queally is an eye-catching booking and Excellent Aim is a worthy favourite at 10/3 (Stan James)
