Brighton: Super Cub

Super Cub looked very green on debut but he put in an excellent showing to finish third at Salisbury. The speed rating of the contest suggested it was an above average novice although soft ground slightly tempers enthusiasm.

Visually there was plenty to like as Super Cub finished strongly. His closing sectional was second, and close to the winner, who has run well again since.

Roger Varian’s string are in fine form an although he doesn’t send many juveniles to Brighton I think the better ground and stiff finish will suit the horse.
