Brighton Tips: Scommettitrice
Won three times at Brighton last season, whereas the opposition find it hard to win anywhere.
Even for a class 6 handicap the 5.15 Brighton is a poor race. It is something of a loser’s convention as several horses in the field struggle to win.
Ferocious Fran 0/17, Slatey Hen 3/47 and Even Bolder 5/98 are just a few of the hard to win with types that populate this grade.
At this level attitude counts for a lot and with 5 turf wins from 26 starts, Scommettitrice looks a solid bet.
Last summer she rattled off four wins on the bounce, three of them coming at Brighton. After shooting up the handicap, she has dropped back to a winning mark quite quickly.
She ran a decent race when fourth at Salisbury on her last start and 4/1 (William Hill) looks big for this course specialist.
