Brighton Tips: Red Refraction
Luckless on his last three starts and has the speed to cope with a drop in trip.
Red Refraction has run a series of good races and a drop to 5f could see him win the 3.45 Brighton.
Blessed with plenty of natural speed I don’t see the trip causing many problems, if anything the strong early pace will help him settle better.
Unlucky last time out at Leicester, he was travelling well but found himself short of room. Previously he tracked too strong a pace at Haydock and did well to finish second considering his fellow pace-setter finished 1.25 lengths further back in fourth - he then went on to win his next start.
Red Refraction also ran a third good race at Chester when he managed to finish a miraculous fourth, 1.75 lengths behind the winner despite starting from the car park, in stall 13.
With a bit better luck, he can run better than his quote of 3/1 (Bet365) .
