Brighton Races Tip: Rocker

Has been coming up just short recently. Jockey Ryan Moore should make the difference.

The 2.20 at Brighton has an in form favourite in the shape of Athwaab but she should be opposed as both Billy Red and The Jailer could hassle her for the lead. Last time that happened at Bath she went too fast and set the race up for closers.

The strong pace should suit Rocker who has been knocking on the door. In two of his last three races the small fields meant he didn’t get enough cover and when he did, he got badly hampered. Not the easiest of horses to predict, he needs a fast pace, cover and a downhill track. He gets all three today.

The Gary Moore stable has hit form with four winners in the last 14 days and star jockey Ryan Moore takes the ride. Victorious in three of his 14 rides, Ryan Moore gets the best out of the horse. Throw in a 27% strike rate at Brighton and everything is in Rocker’s favour.

*A non-runner in the race reduced the odds to 1.93/1
