Brighton: Hattie C

Won by 9.5 lengths over course and distance to shed her maiden tag. It wasn't a great race but nor is this and there other bits of half-decent form to her name. Saddle slipped last time.

Hattie C won by 9.5 lengths when racing over course and distance two starts back. It was a very weak maiden race but was impressive nonetheless and shows she handles the track. The 4.40 Brighton is also a poor race and that wide margin victory is too readily dismissed.

She has shown glimpses this season with a second place at Bath over a very similair type of trip, also on quick ground. Last time out she finished 7th but was only beaten 3 lenghts and would have been closer but for the saddle slipping. On balance she has plenty more positives than the rest of this field.
