Twice a course and distance winner and is sliding down the handicap. Well drawn in stall 2 with early pace around him to give him a tow into the race.
Musharrif has bagged himself a lovely draw in stall two and with pace either side of him he should get a lovely tow into the race. Conditions are also very much in his favour, his strike rate in class 5 contests is 4/18 and he is 8lbs below his last winning mark, which came over course and distance.
When racing in class 5 handicaps over course and distance his record is 11426 and although it’s been a while since his last victory he’s been running well this season. His turn will come again - very soon.
