Beverley Tip: Foxy Boy
Not had much luck with the draw at Beverley this season but has run well under the circumstances, particularly two starts back when fourth fastest closer.
Foxy Boy’s form has been in-and-out this season but he’s not had much with the draw of late. Two starts back he was only beaten 2 lengths over course and distance from stall 14 - an excellent effort under the circumstances.
Held up in rear he clocked the fourth fastest closing sectional, earning an adjusted speed rating of 55. That is good enough to win in this grade and although he was wide of the mark 11 days ago, he had another difficult draw to contend with.
Well berthed in stall 3 he should be able to keep tabs on the leaders more easily. He is best over 5f on fast ground, which he’s got and he races off a career low mark.
