Beleave In Better
Beleave started slowly and got involved in scrimmaging that left her too far back but still managed to finish 4th with fastest closing sectional.
The 2.50 Lingfield is not a strong maiden but value can be found with the less fashionable names. Luke Dace doesn’t have much of a reputation with 2-year-olds, he’s only ever trained four winners in that age bracket but Beleave caught the eye on debut at the end of last year.
After a slow start, she was more interested in getting into a barging match at the back of the field than racing, so come the finish she had too much ground to make up. However, she clocked the fastest closing sectional in the race, quicker than juveniles from John Gosden and Charlie Appleby’s yard.
This afternoon she takes on moderate oppositions and having been sent off at 100/1 last time she could prove better than people expect.
*Returned at SP of 3/1 therefore with BOG get paid the bigger price.
