Bath Tip: Tawaafoq

Tawaafoq hasn’t done much wrong in two starts for Adrian Wintle but the handicap has generously dropped him a couple of pounds. His belated start to the season came at Chepstow in July and he ran a fine race. He set an overly strong pace and tired at the finish, this was probably exacerbated by the fact he hadn’t run for 7 months. Under the circumstances he did well to finish third, 2.5 lengths behind the winner.

Last time out he bumped into a handicap blot called Cent Flying, who has since won in a higher grade, but he beat everything else in the race. Following two good performances he shouldn’t be a double figure price.
