Ayr Tip: Pomme De Terre

Ran a really good race from the front at York. Couldn't see it out but a smaller field and drop in grade is in his favour. Any rain will only further increase his chances.

Pomme De Terre hasn’t had much racing this season, possibly because of the fast ground but he ran a really nice race on his third start at York. Setting a very strong pace, he understandably tired with his finishing speed 96.6% of his average race speed. To his credit the 6-year-old battled on gamely and earned a sectional adjusted speed rating of 82.

For the 4.15 Ayr he drops down in grade and with the possibility of rain, his chances could improve further. Since turning three, his record when racing at 6f in class 5 turf contests is 3521213.
