Antepost Shake Up After Open Meeting

We review the big market movers after three days of action at Cheltenham’s Open Meeting.

Grands Crus 25/1 (Coral) and Hunt Ball 40/1 (Boylesports) are big drifters in the betting for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after both were pulled up in the Paddy Power. Hunt Ball’s connections blamed the ground but Grands Crus is running short of excuses after two poor performances in a row.

Victorious in the Paddy Power, Al Ferof is a best price 20/1 (Boylesports) to emulate Imperial Commander and win the Gold Cup in March. The King George is a likely target along the way and he is 8/1 (Boylesports) to win Kempton’s showpiece.

Hurricane Fly retains his place at the top of the Champion Hurdle market at 11/2 (William Hill) after winning the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown. Victory was sealed when Go Native (20/1 Betfred) fell at the last, but until that point the race was still in the balance.
