Aintree Tips: Pearl Swan
Was a useful 4-year-old, has suffered with injuries since but shaped with promise at Cheltenham.
Pearl Swan finished one spot outside of the places when we tipped him at the Cheltenham Festival and so often compensation awaits at Aintree.
Once upon a time he was a very useful hurdler, he lost a Grade 2 in the stewards’ room and was sent off 7/1 for the Triumph Hurdle.
Injuries have hampered his progress but he ran a cracker at Cheltenham last month, only his second start in almost two years.
The way he drifted in the betting suggested he would need the run but he looks primed for a big performance in the 1.40.
First time blinkers are applied and Sam Twiston-Davies takes the ride.
He looks thrown-in off a mark of 138 and is a good bet at 12/1 (Skybet).
