Aintree Tips: Join Together

Placed in Graded company, proving he has a touch of class and always considered a long distance chaser in the making.

Run over the Grand National fences at Aintree, the Becher Chase is often a decent pointer towards the big race. Last season Join Together was been talked about as a future 4-mile chaser and the 2.10 Aintree looks the natural stepping stone.

A novice chaser with a bit of class, he was considered good enough to try his luck in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. Although he was pulled up in the race, he confirmed his ability at Aintree when finishing third behind Silviniaco Conti in April. A 25-length beating by his stable mate looks decent form considering what Silviniaco Conti has gone on to achieve.

With many in the field looking past their best, Paul Nicholls’ up and coming chaser looks the value at 6/1 (William Hill).
