Woods 3/1 for Open
The 14-time major winner is ominously poised heading into the weekend.
Tiger Woods has strengthened to a 3/1 (Ladbrokes) favourite for the Open Championship as other big names have predominately fallen away at Lytham.
Brandt Snedeker (5/1 PaddyPower) is setting the pace on -10 after equalling the course-record of 64 on Friday. Adam Scott is hot on his heels at -9 and is, like Woods, also a best price of 3/1 (Betfred).
British hopes appear to rest on Graeme McDowell (16/1 Ladbrokes) or Paul Lawrie (28/1 Boylesports) who begins Saturday on -4.
