HSBC Champions Tips: Justin Rose

The confidence he’s found with the putter has taken his game to another level.

At every level, putting is the most infuriating part of golf. Professionals spend years tinkering with technique and equipment but it always boils down to one crucial element – confidence.

The breakthrough for Justin Rose came on the 17th green at Medinah. Draining ‘that’ 20 footer against Phil Mickelson was crucial in helping Europe win the Ryder Cup and he has carried that confidence with him.

Since then he has won the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final, winning five out of five matches, and finished T6 at the BMW Masters. If you count his runners-up spot at the Tour Championship, then the last month has been arguably one of the finest of his career.

There seems no stopping Justin Rose at the moment and whilst he is in such hot form he looks a great each-way bet at 14/1 (Paddy Power) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
