HSBC Champions: Jason Dufner
Excellent record in Majors & WGC events with five top-5 finishes in his last 13 starts.
The expressionless Jason Dufner is a difficult guy to read but he tends to bring his best golf to the biggest events.
Finishes in Majors and WGC events since 2012
Majors: T24-T4-T31-T27-T20-T4-T26-1
WGC: T29-7-T2-T12-T4
Excludes Accenture Match Play results
Dufner has five top-5 finishes in the last 13 Majors and WGC events combined, making him a player to follow in the most prestigious tournaments.
The PGA champion is also a golfer who travels well, with his results in Asia particularly impressive. Last year he finished runner-up in this tournament (at Mission Hills), following on from a T16 at the CIMB Classic.
The 36-year-old is a fine ball striker and although his putting can be streaky, Francesco Molinari and Sergio Garcia both got the job done on the back of their excellent iron play.
At 30/1 (Boylesports) the final major winner of the season looks a good each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
