WGC - Cadillac Championship Tips: Matt Kuchar
T3 and 5 in his last two starts at Doral and looked good in his run to the QFs at the WGC Match Play.
My second pick is another player who fits all the Doral trends – Matt Kuchar.
This is his third visit to TPC Blue Monster having never been outside the top-5, with finishes of T3-5 in consecutive years.
After a steady but unspectacular start to the year, Kuchar found his stride in the WGC Match Play with a trip to the quarter-finals. He was impressive in beating Bubba Watson and Martin Kaymer, shooting 4-under in both victories. The wheels came off against Hunter Mahan but overall the signs were encouraging.
Nine top-10s last year prove he is one of the most consistent players on tour and at 40/1 (Boylesports) I’d be surprised if he didn’t place. Back Kuchar each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-five finish.
