WGC Bridgestone Invitational Tips: Harris English
Fulfilled his potential with victory at the St. Jude Classic. Finished an impressive T15 at the Open on his last start.
After winning the St. Jude Classic at the start of June, Harris English is playing with house-money for the rest of the season. His tour card secure, the next step on the career ladder is to contend in WGCs and majors.
The 24-year-old makes his WGC debut at Firestone this week but he shouldn’t be overawed. On his last start, he finished T15 at the Open Championship, an impressive showing considering he lacks links experience.
A big hitter of the ball and an excellent putter, Harris English should be suited to the demands of Firestone. Considering he is already a winner this year he is overpriced at 150/1 (BetVictor). Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
