Well Fargo Tips: Kevin Stadler
Enjoying his best year on tour and looked in good form when finishing T8 last weekend.
Kevin Stadler has gone 219 tournaments without a PGA Tour win, but the 32-year-old is getting ever closer.
His adjusted scoring average of 70.44 is the lowest of his career and puts him 25th in the PGA Tour rankings. Add a 3rd place for GIRs and 9th place for birdie average and you have an impressive set of stats for a player rated 125/1 by the bookies.
Although Stadler’s record at Quail Hollow is only moderate, his T26 last year is only bettered by a T25 in 2008. Crucially he arrives in good form.
Last week an excellent third round 65 helped him to a T8 finish in New Orleans, his second top-ten of the year.
Whilst his game is in good shape, Stadler looks a good each-way bet at 125/1 (Coral) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish
