Well Fargo Tips: Josh Teater

Last week I tipped Josh Teater in New Orleans and although he missed the cut, it was only by one stroke and at a bigger price, I’m happy to go in again.

There wasn’t a lot wrong with Teater’s performance at the Zurich Classic, he just couldn’t get the ball in the hole. Apart from the odd mishap with the flat stick, the rest of his game is in good shape.

Teater sits a lofty 28th in the FedEx Cup standings and plays particularly well on long tracks. His best result of the year was a second place at Torrey Pines, one of the longest courses on tour.

Measuring 7,492-yards, Quail Hollow is equally daunting which often leads to the same names appearing on the leaderboard at both tournaments.

Last season DA Points and Rickie Fowler contested a playoff at Quail Hollow; three months previously they finished in the top-13 at Torrey Pines .

If this pattern continues then the value must be with backing Josh Teater each-way at 225/1 (Bet365) , getting ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
