Korn Ferry Tour Championship: Dominic Bozzelli
Missed cut last week but trending in right direction; has broken 70 in 9 of last 12 stroke play rounds. Will get PGA Tour starts next season so less pressure compared to others in field.
This weeks selections might look like a repeat but i’m always willing to forgive one bad round. Dominic Bozzelli missed the cut on account of his 74 on Thursday but he bounced back on Friday with a 68. That means he has broken 70 in nine of his last twelve stroke play rounds.
The New Yorker should therefore arrive at the final event of the season with confidence in his game. There will be a lot of pressure with Tour cards on the line but Bozzelli has conditional status on the PGA Tour next season (he finished 139 in FedEx Cup) which should give him plenty of starts during the Autumn.
A solid driver of the ball and an excellent putter his has a similair profile to past winners at Victoria National Golf Club and he deserves a second chance to carry our money.
