Turn Da Silva Into Gold

Turn Da Silva Into Gold

The short but tight Pretoria CC plays to Adilson Da Silva’s strengths and he has seven top-15 finishes in just eleven starts at the course.

The Tshwane Open isn’t a tournament to go mad about, it’s basically a Sunshine Tour event though it enjoys European Tour status. However, there is a small edge we can exploit.

Pretoria CC hosts the Tshwane Open for the second time but it was a regular stop on the Sunshine Tour between 2005 and 2011 hosting the Vodacom Championship and a Vodacom Origins Series event.

If we dig there is plenty of course form and one player stands out – Adilson Da Silva.

The Brazilian has been plying his trade on the Sunshine Tour for several years now but his record at Pretoria CC is outstanding; it reads T25-T41-T4-MC-T41-2-T10-T13-T3-T2-T15.

He’s missed just one cut in 11 starts with seven top-15 finishes including one last year at the Tshwane Open.

If you look at Da Silva’s game this makes sense. He’s isn’t very long but accurate and therefore thrives on tight technical layouts. Last year he hit 79% of fairways and 72% of greens.‘s

His recent form isn’t too shabby with a T28 at the Singapore Open and T22 at the Joburg Open. Returning to a course he loves he is a great each-way bet at 125/1 with Skybet
