St Jude Classic Tips: Camilo Villegas
Recent results suggest he is exiting his slump. Missed the cut once in last six visits to Memphis and finished T3 here in 2011.
Camilo Villegas has endured a couple of miserable years on tour but he seems to be coming out his slump.
The 31-year-old arrives in Memphis having made three consecutive cuts plus he secured his place at Muirfield after finishing T2 at an Open qualifying in Texas last month.
A three-time winner on tour, the Colombian knows how to get over the line and he should enjoy himself at TPC Southwind, a course he’s played well before.
In his last six visits to Memphis, Villegas has finished: T16-T46-T18-T29-T3-MC, the third place finish coming when he was really struggling with his game.
On a course he enjoys, he looks a decent each way bet at 66/1 (Paddy Power) with ¼ odds for at top-6 finish.
